Barcelona flights – careful planning and research
Low-cost flights to Barcelona can be found with careful planning, research and by booking in advance. Many international Barcelona flights arrive at El Prat de Llobregat Airport, about 7km south of Barcelona. Girona Airport is used by most budget flights and is about an hour north of the city. The bus journey to the city is almost as fast as a taxi and much cheaper. However, a taxi is more convenient as it can take you right to your hotel.Once in Barcelona, using taxis, buses and the metro to get about can be easier than using a hired car.
