A Must See – Ulrich’s Fossil Gallery – Kemmerer, Wyoming
Located 10 miles west of Kemmerer, Wyoming just off of Highway 30, is Fossil Butte National Monument, a 50 million year old lake bed. But it is what’s inside Fossil Butte that is what’s so exciting and that is Ulrich’s Fossil Gallery, Kemmerer, Wyoming. Open daily all year around from 8am to 5pm, you can come by and learn about the history of what used to live in the lake that was once there. The Ulrich family opened its doors to educate the world about the fossils that are world renowned and found practically right in our back yard. Here at Ulrich’s Fossil Gallery, Kemmerer Wyoming you can come by to just look at the fossils found or you can purchase one of your own. There are 3 different ways to purchase a fossil at the gallery, however. You can buy them in the fossil form, a fossil preparation kit where you do it yourself, or you can even go out on a dig-your-own trip with one of the many experienced employees at the quarry.
