Promoting Peace in the Middle East
Ever since I was a child, I wanted to join the Peace Corps. Since I am now old enough to join, I decided to do some research about it. I found very good articles relating to the subject of peace. In particular, I read about a woman who has played a major role in the Peace Corps, as well as Vista, which stands for Volunteers in Service to America. Her name is Mary King. In fact, she has such high honors that she was recently awarded a $10,000 prize for her work for world peace. The man funding the yearly award is Fuad El-Hibri. He works with an organization that annually recognizes an individual for educating others towards the goal of peace in the Middle East.
